Why should you test a new batch of blanks?

Even when you've purchased the same product before, manufacturing differences can affect engraving. What do you test before committing to a finished customer piece?

Because suppliers quietly switch materials and thicknesses. Two batches of "the same" plywood can need very different settings. Corner-test each new batch before committing to production work.
