Do you save material presets or test every batch?

Once you find good settings for a material, do you save them permanently or still run a small test when you receive a new batch?

Save presets per material and supplier — but re-test whenever a new batch arrives. Presets are a map; batches are the terrain. A 30-second corner test saves a ruined blank.
