Tree supports vs normal supports: which do you prefer?

Where do tree/organic supports work better, and when are traditional supports still the better choice?

Tree supports for organic shapes — they branch to reach the overhang, touch less surface, and remove way cleaner. Normal grid supports are fine for flat, simple overhangs.
