PLA vs PLA+: what difference do you actually notice?

For people who regularly print both PLA and PLA+, what differences do you notice in strength, surface finish, temperature requirements, or printability? Is PLA+ worth choosing for most functional prints?

PLA+ (and Pro/HQ variants) is less brittle, tolerates slightly higher temps, and prints tougher with better layer adhesion for almost no extra effort. For functional parts, PLA+ wins; for display pieces, PLA is fine.
